Terms & Conditions

Internet Access:

It is very important that you have a strong WIFI connection in order to be able to participate in our classes.

Behaviour in Class:

It is expected that students will behave and act appropriately and respectfully at all times. If this is not the case, they will be removed from the class. No refund will be provided.

Weekly Classes:

Price:

All group classes cost £25 per class, per student. There are eight students per group.

Classes are paid for on a monthly class subscription basis. Parents can sign up for this on the last week of each month. The fee is £100 per month. This includes access to all classes and notes, personalised feedback for parents and students, assessments at the end of each term.

Students can trial a class for £25 and pay a prorated amount if they join the classes mid-month.

Parents can then transition to the monthly subscription at the end of the month.

Subscriptions are automatically renewed on a monthly basis at the end of each month. Parents will  receive a reminder email in the third week of each month. The last subscription payment is taken in the last week of May depending upon the date you signed up to the subscription.

If a subscription payment fails, the system will automatically retry up to three more times over the course of a few days. However, if payment continues to fail month after month, the student’s place will be cancelled and offered to another student on the waiting list. Student will not be permitted access to the class or notes unless payment has been made.

If a student knows in advance that they will be absent for a group class during the month of classes, that class remains payable. Please note that unused classes cannot be carried over to the next month or transferred to another student or be used as payment for a resource or individual class. Students will be able to access the notes from that class and all details of the homework in order to catch up before the next class. They can also email us if they have any questions at [email protected] or send a message using our contact page.

If the group is relatively small, the class price may be slightly higher. You’ll be informed if this applies to your class.

A minimum of two students is required in a group to qualify for the agreed group class rate. If fewer than two students are in the group, one-to-one class pricing will apply.

Individual one-to-one classes are priced at £60 per 1- hour session and must be paid for in advance of the class taking place and are subject to availability. Please contact us here to enquire about availability.

One-Month Commitment to classes:

Learning English GCSE requires time and consistency and this is why a one-month commitment is required.

Weekly classes are kept to eight students maximum in order to ensure that the individual needs of students can be met in class.

Our classes are meticulously designed to facilitate the progressive improvement of students.

Sporadic attendance cannot be accommodated.

Students can join mid-month or trial a class subject to availability. Please click here to apply. We will come back to you as soon as possible.

Logging onto classes and accessing notes:

The class will be run via Zoom weekly for 1 hour. Please take note of the time that you have been allocated.

Students will be able to access both Zoom and Google Drive where the notes are stored via the student dashboard on this website once payment has been made for classes.

Students should access the class via a laptop or PC as we will be asking students to log into a Google Drive document to complete exercises during the class.

If students log in to the call via a mobile or tablet, they must download Zoom onto the device or they may not be able to access the call. In order to be able to complete written exercises in Google Drive during the call, a laptop or PC is required. If there is a problem accessing a laptop/PC, please make us aware in advance of the class.

All notes will be stored in Google Drive in an account that we will create for the group. Only the students in that class and us will have access to this account.

Students are not permitted to share this content with anyone outside of the group.

Students will need to have a standard Gmail account in order to access Google Drive.

Students should have Google Drive open at the start of each class.

Attendance:

All students have been assigned a time for their allotted group or time slot.

Please make sure that they are logged on in time for classes as classes will start punctually. Late arrivals can be disruptive.

Due to the small group setting of our weekly classes, we appreciate 24 hours notice if a student cannot attend. Absent students will have access to material covered and homework assigned for the next class so that they can catch up on anything missed. If there are any questions, the student can contact us at [email protected] and we will respond as soon as possible.

Our classes are live and take place on a weekly basis. Classes will not be recorded in the event a student cannot attend.

Students are not permitted to record any aspect of these classes.

As above mentioned, students will have access to the material covered and notes provided during the class with a clear outline of what they need to cover for the following week. If they have any questions, they should feel free to contact us. Students should aim to consistently attend classes.

Refunds and Cancellations:

Parents / guardians must cancel their monthly subscription for weekly classes at least 24 hours in advance of the renewal date to avoid charges for the next subscription period. Detailed instructions on how to cancel your subscription can be found here.

If a student misses a group class, credit cannot be carried over to the following month. No refund will be provided.

Students will have access to class material in order to catch up, as outlined above.

If a parent / guardian forgets to cancel their subscription and contacts us within 24 hours of the renewal date, they are eligible for a full refund of the renewal charge.

Requests for refunds beyond this period will not be honoured. Except as stated above, all subscription renewals are final and non-refundable. In cases of billing errors or other exceptional circumstances, please contact us at [email protected], and we will review your case. If a one-to-one (individual) class is cancelled, at least 24 hours notice is required or no refund / change of class time will be accommodated.

Consistent cancellations of (one-to-one) individual slots may result in that person’s time slot being assigned to another person or group. In order to avail of an individual time slot, weekly attendance is required. If a student misses a trial class without giving at least 24 hours' notice, whether it’s a group or individual session, the class fee will be forfeited, and rescheduling will not be guaranteed.

Special Notice about the Monthly Subscriptions:

Reminder notices are sent once each month regarding subscription payments.

The last subscription payment is taken at the end of May.

The subscription includes 3 assessments (at the end of each term)

Please read our FAQs for more information on our monthly subscriptions.

If you have any queries, please contact us here.

Refund Policy for Digital Resources:

All products on this site are digital downloadable resources.

Due to the fact that people receive instant access to digital resources once purchased - there is no refund available on any of these products.

Exam-Focused Masterclasses:

Throughout the year, we may run large group, exam focused, revision masterclasses to facilitate a larger number of students receiving key exam advice in advance of important exam periods. These may be recorded by the teacher running the class. The recording can be sent to students who signed up to attend OR those who signed up to receive the recording.

Students will be muted upon entering the class and their cameras will be off.  Students can submit questions via the chat option on Zoom. Please note that due to the fact that the Zoom link providing access to the class is sent out as soon as someone purchases a masterclass - no refund will be provided once purchase has been made.

Progress Updates and Feedback:

To facilitate ease of communication to parents or guardians in relation to important updates relating to classes, you may be added to a WhatsApp group. Only the teacher running the class will be the administrator of this group. The teacher will also be the only person who will be permitted to send notifications. If parents need to contact the teacher, they can do so via email or private WhatsApp between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm only. They will not have permission to comment in the group.

If students are experiencing difficulty with specific topics in English at school, they must not hesitate to ask for our help. They can ask during class or email after class. We will come back to them as soon as possible. Parents are also welcome to discuss the students’ progress with us. A phone call can be arranged if necessary.

We carry out assessments termly. You will receive a report from us with feedback in relation to these tests. These are important in order to assess students' performance and to clarify if there are any areas that we need to specifically revise. We also provide updates in between these assessments via email.

We appreciate your co-operation with these matters and look forward to working with you throughout the year. Do not hesitate to contact us via email with any questions or queries with regard to anything outlined in these terms and conditions, or anything which should arise throughout the year.
